“Several months after losing my dad, I had reached out to seek Biblical Counsellng on how to grieve my dad. I had well meaning people say things like "think about where he is now", or they were questioning my faith when I cried. I didn’t know how to grieve. Were tears okay? Did my tears show lack of faith?
Cathy became my counselor and it was a blessing. I had known her from another ministry we served in and week after week Cathy was there as my counselor as I fought the battle of faith and grief. The amount of tears she witnessed as I processed things are innumerable. God used Cathy to show me that my faith and my tears can exist at the same time. Missing my dad doesn’t mean I can't cry. Jesus wept. If Jesus wept, I had the freedom to let the tears fall. She also taught me that I may always grieve my dad and that is okay. I can go to God with my heart's cry and know my faith is still intact. It wasn't just about walking through how to grieve my dad, but also some heart issues that needed to be faced. Cathy challenged me and encouraged me with Scripture. She pointed me back to Scripture at every step of the way. I wouldn't be able to process my grief the way I have without her help.”

“I took biblical counselling with Heather and her approach was biblical, practical, and heart-based. My world view on what counselling is has changed.
What I learned in biblical counselling gave me the techniques and tools that I can apply to all my situations that is based on God’s word and truth. With each session I was continuously directed to and reminded of who God is, what God has done, what God has promised and what God commands. The commitment to scripture and studying God’s word that Heather consistently witnessed to me has been an example I strive for.
One of the most rewarding sessions was when Heather explained the depth of believing God’s word is true and to make it true in my heart. Homework each week was amazing to the point I just wanted to share with everyone what I learned and how much better I was feeling. I read the bible now with a new passion and a better understanding, I believe biblical counselling took me back to my first love and that is Jesus.

Shortly after I started biblical counselling my daughter started, biblical counselling has changed her life and it’s all to the glory of God. It’s been such a blessing to see God at work.
